Dave Depper

Portland’s Dave Depper is perhaps best known for being the guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist for iconic indie rockers Death Cab for Cutie. He’s also become known as a go-to collaborator for such luminaries as Robyn Hitchcock, Sharon Van Etten, Ray LaMontagne, and Fruit Bats. But he’s hardly been quiet on his own, having built up a diverse portfolio of solo work. In 2017 he released his acclaimed synthpop opus Emotional Freedom Technique, and 2021 will see the release of Europa, his full-length foray into ambient guitar improv. Always searching for a new sound and way of working, Dave is equally at home in the roles of instrumentalist, songwriter, composer and producer.
