Who are you?
Hi, I’m Hunter Love! I’m a writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Portland, Oregon. I love to create across genres like Pop, Hip-Hop, and Soul. Music is my way of connecting with people, and I’m always exploring new ways to make those connections deeper and more meaningful.
How has working with Marmoset impacted you?
Working with Marmoset has been such an incredible experience. The level of support and artist development they provide is something you can’t find just anywhere. They’ve been instrumental in shaping my career.
Every song I create feels like it has a whole team behind it, helping make sure it resonates with the right people in the right way.
Marmoset has truly opened doors for me. Thanks to them, I’m building a sustainable music career that’s allowing me and my wife to make one of our biggest dreams come true: buying a home! That kind of life-changing impact is something I’ll always be grateful for.
Knowing that my music is being used in projects all over the world is such an amazing feeling—it fuels my creativity and gives me the confidence to keep going.
What is the placement you’ve done with Marmoset that you’re most proud of?
One of the most exciting moments was when Laika Studios, right here in Portland, used my song “Drip Drop” for the 10th anniversary of ParaNorman. They created a special stop-motion video of Norman dancing to the song, and I couldn’t believe it! I’ve been a huge fan of Laika’s films—from ParaNorman to Coraline to The Boxtrolls—so seeing one of my songs in their work was a total dream come true.
The fact that Justin Rasch, an animator I’ve always admired, was behind the project made it even more surreal. It’s moments like that that remind me why I love doing what I do.
